Paddle Canada - "Safety Never Gets Old

Blue Ant Media hired me to write a series of commercials for Paddle Canada, titled "Safety Never Gets Old". It was a five-part series where the same characters appeared in different eras and had to learn the importance of water safety. The commercials will air in 2017 but can currently be found online where after 6 weeks have amassed close to 400,000 views.

What Got Did Has Been Shortlisted for the Half The World Global Literarti Award!

My 30-minute comedic screenplay, "What Got Did", has been shortlisted for an international literary award!

The criteria was for novels, short stories and screenplays that feature a woman as a main character and provides insight into the life of women.

Out of thousands of entries, mine was selected for the top 40 and the winner will be announced on July 15, 2016 after the judges make their pick.

In the meantime, there's a people's choice award and you can vote here: https://halftheworld.media/?r=fe.shortlist

Thanks for the support and here's hoping my little comedy about a woman joining a team of misfits to run a tech startup makes it to the finish line.

Toronto Comics Anthology Vol. 2 - "The Sultan of Hanlan's Point"

I had the extreme pleasure of being part of Toronto Comics Anthology Volume 2.

My story, The Sultan of Hanlan's Point, takes a fantastical look at what happened to Babe Ruth's legendary first ever home run ball which landed in Lake Ontario (totally a true story, look it up). When Scott finds the ball in present day, he is whisked away to Hanlan's Point in 1914 where he must return the ball to its rightful owner...a young Babe Ruth.

Toronto Comics Anthology Vol. 3 - "A Night to Remember"

My story, A Night to Remember, will be published in the forthcoming volume of the Toronto Comics Anthology.

A Night to remember is a comedic horror about three best friends who go prom dress shopping in Yorkville, only to be greeted by the zombie apocalypse.

For those who don't know, Toronto's most vibrant and upscale shopping district was originally it's first non-denominational cemetery, Potter's Field. When Toronto expanded to the north the bodies were supposed to be moved to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. As things sometimes go, the headstones were moved but the bodies....well...not so much.

Toronto Comics Anthology Volume 3 will be available in bookstores, online and at comic cons (make sure you stop by the table!) in spring 2016.
